Photographer for 2008

Good day to all photographers,

My organisation, a golf and lifestyle club, is searching for a photographer for our events. Events include sports, golf and social functions. Each event is a minimum of two hours long.

The estimated (over-estimation) number of hours the photographer needs to attend the events is 400 (40-60+ events). However the photographer might only need to work 200+ hours (or even less) for various reasons.

Ideal Candidate:
1) Versatile with a wide-range of photography skills (able to shoot events of different nature)
2) Pro-active - we might give some instruction from time to time, but the photographer should be independent and know how to operate alone.
3) Possess the right equipment - includes tripods and lightings

I understand that it might be difficult to give an exact quote as the number of hours and events is not fixed yet. To make things easier, you make like to submit three types of quotes: 1) hourly rate; 2) quote per event; 3) quote for 400 hours.

Hi,

Means to say photographer must finished all the 400+ hours? What type of lightings you need? Studio lightings or ext flashlight?

There is no need to do all 400 hours. The 400 hrs is an overestimation of the number of hours we need. I have overestimated to factor in some unforeseen circumstances which might occur.

Regarding the type of lighting, this depends on the event. We have dance parties which take place in a very 'disco' setting, i.e very dark. There are also social functions where the lighting isn't so good. It's up to the photographer to make a judgement on what type of lighting he/she needs to bring along.

Like I've mentioned, the photographer needs to be able to work independently. We just tell him/her what we want and its up to that person to decide how best to achieve the desired result.
