thanx

Hi - just PM you the info. Cheers.

damn. it says doesn't support cf card.

I had a vosonic 3320 in the past. It was a nice device, especially when on holidays. I could transfer almost every cardtype to it, and could also use it as a mp3 player (though I didn't care much about that fact). It could handle 1.8 inch HD's, and I had a 20GB lying around eating dust. All in all a decent buy, but it lacked an important element.

I sold the vosonic 5 months ago at ebay, and bought myself a apacar share steno, which was extremely cheap here in the Netherlands (around 50 euro's). It did not have a brilliant interface, but it did have usb host functions. So that meant I could transfer images directly from the camera to the device. Great when I'm away for a long time without my own pc (which is the case when going to Singapore :))....

I am now considering buying that cowon X5L, since that device has usb host too, which works great for me...

my 2 cents regarding HD storage...

Did anybody consider the 30G IPOD video ($525) with Camera connection adapter ($48)? When not in use, it can also function as MP3 player.

Do read/find some reviews on how the camera connector of the iPod works. It doesn't work well, i've read.

how much does it cost? i wonder if you can use that for moving images?

As in the movies taken by a digicam? Think it can, it will import as 'video'. I bought at $699 a few weeks ago.

epson p4500 picture viewer is just around corner...not sure how good is it?

anyone have used earlier versions?

my Phototainer is able to view my Canon20d raw files. Its even able to zoom in for checking sharpness. But unfortunately, this is an old model with lousy battery life.

Photoviewer/HDDs of today do not have the processing power or firmware to view the actual RAW files...they can only read the attached Jpg thumbnail... what RAW support they claim just means they can extract the thumbnail and display it on the screen... note, this is the thumbnail attached to the RAW file and not a seperate full sized Jpg file of the image that can be saved in parallel to the RAW file by some cameras... which is why I invested in a PD70X...at least it has a system that verifies the integrity of the copied file...

Anyone got experience with this Joycoder PV 390 MPEG4 40GB @$399, which I saw at Sim Lim Sq this week

According to the flyer from IT image, the Joycoder is a Portable Video Player/Recorder, 3.5" LCD screen with SD slot. Kinda of good for D50 and other cameras with SD cards.
