To me that lamp is not bad at all. We cannot change the scene that we capture but we can always find an angle so that the composition could make it balanced! That's how I try to do for most of my shots!Problem with Singapore's cityscape for me, are the millions of distractions that gets in a frame that I like/compose; lamppost, signboard, neon lights, traffic lights, etc..
Quite sian coz I'm only interested in taking a clean shot of a building..
An example would be just like your previous shot.. That stupid lamppost have to jut out on the left.. LoL!
