Thoth's photos seems like not in focus.
ZoomZ said:Using Provia will have difference in contrast and colour tones, but should not affect the sharpness and details. Your photos look like a bit out of focus.
ZoomZ said:Try to reset your profile to dafault setting, put your camera on a tripod and shoot a portrait shot as a test (half body should be fine). It should be tack sharp (even at F1.4 which I kept it there almost all shots). You can count the eye lashes....
Found these 2 photos before I did custom settings with the original XF 35mm lens. Seems contrast and sharpness are intact... Hmm

But then again, if you like it and find it sharp enough for your purpose, you are a happy man!
Interesting. Actually downloaded jpegs look sharp on my iPad but once uploaded to photobucket website n share here. Seems suffer resolution downgrading. Hmm. I'll send in for calibration anyway. Tks bro.
albertri said:ah that makes sense i try not to use photobucket also coz somehow when you resize it in photobucket it affects IQ use flickr instead
Yeah. I just shot some test shot using hand held iso 400 @ wide open. I can count d eye lashes & eye brow hairs n see pores on d subject face when zoomed in on my LCD on d x-e1. It was a half body shot so gotta full zoom in.
Later I'll try to upload to Flickr n try. Tks. BTW, I din resize in photobucket. I just dunno wif all d uploading to my iPad directly from my sd card & then from iPad wirelessly to photobucket affects d IQ or sharpness in any ways? Hmm
albertri said:yeah bro if you want to post 1024 or 800x600 do the conversion using LR when you develop it then upload it to photobucket... also FB if you upload full res it will degrade the IQ so much its not worth it to post anymore :-(
