Hey fellas

Sorry if this is an OT (odd topic), but I've made a little request to the CS owners/mods for a section for 'Film' in Photo Galleries, so that film enthusiasts can share their images there.

I'm not sure how many feel the same way as me, but if there's any others who feel the same way, I hope you would make yourself heard here:

I've seen many fantastic images in this section, but this isn't exactly a 'photo gallery', so I thought many others might miss viewing all these gorgeous images...so why not create a section for 'film'.

Cheers....

agree..

film is dying, very soon become a serious weekend photographers' hobby. digital for the pr0 and kids .;p

I dont think should create another section, the gallery never said must be digital, then why u want to make film stand out from the other, pride ? Or is it that you also think film is some kind of freaky thing that people rarely use nowaday that it must stand out like a bone in the museum ? I think you can post your photo, and put under it taken with tmax, tri-x...etc But i dont usually see artist put pen, pencil, ink jet printer , oil ,acrylic under their sketch , painting, except in the shop, museum or book. What we are here is for the image, look from film "can" be different from digital, but why should we bring ourself far away from the road of making photo and go into equipment, medium road ? Pride again ? Because you want to be different ? Or just equipment and gear lust ? Photo is photo, digital, full frame, 35mm, 120, large format , aside from resolution , is there much different ? A bit of grain ?

As Comrade Deng Xian Ping had said before "Black cat or white cat, as long as it can catch the mice, it's a good cat."

Film or digital, as long as it can produce good pictures... it's a good camera. :bsmilie:

Totally agree!

i support u Nizz.. its not abt the pics onli guys.. its a place where we can trade tips on developing, film characteristics (using film, characteristics IS part of it) and even exchange developer (we dun have to buy many different kinds).

Film users r already few & rare... so why not trade tips & knowledge. Pass it on :)
