Curiously while processing a recent assignment, I suddenly noticed that my shots made on an old 90cron managed to get its focal length registered in the EXIF from my M8. :dunno: It's not been coded before... so... Anyone encountered this before?

(I sure hoped all my non-coded lenses are like that though. hahaha. unfortunately its limited only to my 90cron... )

How can that be???

Your M8 is not a machine...it has a photography soul in it....:bsmilie:

Oh... I discovered the reason.

This particular version of the 90cron has a screw at where the codings usually are. It got detected as a 90 tele-elmarit. seems the same as Konica M-Hexanon 90mm f/2.8 which has a screw in the same position as well.

So the puzzle is solved...interesting...
