Customised Fine Art Digital Photography Printing Service
I provide customised one-to-one printing services for fine art digital printing on an inkjet printer.
Why inkjet printing?
This is what digital printing is about today. Inkjet machines for fine art photographic printing uses pigment inks, which are fully archival and have great longevity. The technology promises a very wide colour gamut for photographic printing. Moreover, such printing allows photographers to choose from a wide variety of paper surfaces in the market. If one is printing on fine art archival paper, which is often the case, print longevity is easily in access of 100 years. They have the longest known lifespan of any kind of photographic printing.
I offer my expertise from my background as a photographer to understand your needs. A fully colour managed system is also essential to maintain the colour appearance of images monitor to print.
However, colour management is not magic!
Much goes into the refinement of each image. This one-to-one service is essential as each image is different, and the printing processes for some images can indeed reveal subtle details which in another, will not. Only this obsession to fine detail gives rise to optimal quality of your prints. Any discerning photographer will respect this level of finesse.
At this point I can print on paper that is 17 inches for the width and length is dependent on the image. A2 plus size (17x25) is about the max ISO standard size I can print to.
I am going to bring in a 44inch printer for larger work soon. In the meantime, you may contact me for availability of larger prints if you are not in a hurry.
I offer a wide paper selection from all the top brands. Surfaces include various matte, glossy, fine art rag papers and fibre based glossy papers. The latter is known for its beauty and look, emulating traditional silver gelatine papers. I ship in many of my own papers with are NOT available anywhere locally. I am also able to ship in almost any substrate that you prefer, if we do not already have stock for it.
My one-to-one service also allows the discerning photographer to have a feel of samples so as to best select the type of paper which works best for him/her.
Prices vary from paper choice and print size. Large orders will have special discounts.
