Personally I find the people in LAOS are generally friendly and they kind of looking forward
for a better life and young people really wish they can have education and speak English.
I see more Novice monks than student. the learning spirit is there but the opportunity seems little for them.

Tourists from Singapore are not as much as compared to those from Europe and Korea, but the trend could be changing soon with the introduction of the budget Airlines.

Traveling distance is long from one province to another by road (est range from 5 to 10 hours). I kind of like the relax pace of their life
Yes, Khip is their local currency but you can also use Thai baht and US$.
Hope to show more photos...:)

Hosea,

The pics of the "young mother" and the "sister and brother" are very good! :)

All superbly taken and expression very well captured.

Hi Stan,
I'm very impressed with these photos esp the one of the brother & sister. Their expressions are priceless. The monotone is also wonderfully done.
I'm going to take some time to go thru the rest of the galleries.

Thanks for sharing these images and thru them, sharing Laos to those of us who have never been there.

Question: were you solo on this trip free & easy or was this an organised group package tour?

Hi Melvin, thanks for taking time to view this series n comment.
This was an F&E trip and it is much easier now with the Budget Airlines.
I was with another 4 friends in this trip.
Hope you would also enjoy the other galleries of mine.:)

Novice

Novices are common in LAOS, here is one I met and spoke briefly at LPB. They are keen to learn
English and about this world.

By the age of 21st, they have to make a final decision on whether they would stay with the monastery.

Workers

They work hard for a living with all their physical strength.
These shots were taken early in the morning while waiting at the bus terminal.
All kind of luggage, even a mattress... wonder how they load it?

TV program

He was testing and watching the TV program reception outside his house.
Peoples in LNT are exceptionally hospitable; he even invited us to his home.
