Not really. We just put our specs against the viewfinder and adjust the diopter.

Erm.. Don't think there is to do any changes with spec. I am also wearing specs while taking photo.

there is an optional eye piece OM-53. it help as i do not press my nose to the screen too much and see better with spec.

we have youtube, it got almost every info u need for free.

Hi zackdeth, first of all welcome to the Pentax family. U be happy to know that in this small friendly community. Most of the pentaxians should be more then willing to give you photography tips. Joining outings is one way to learn , or you can PM the respective pentaxians who are seriously into their own respective genes of photography.

Look at the photo posts in Pentax Thread and from here decide what you want to shoot. For portraiture, the best lenses to use would be prime lenses like FA43, FA50, K85, M85, FA77, DA40, DA70, DA*200, etc. or even some zooms like DA*16-50 & DA*50-135

Depending on your budget and need, I believe either the A50/1.7 (manual focus) or the DA50/1.8 (auto focus), are the best in the market recommended for you.
