( I think i read some where that Kwanon is the original name for canon based on one of the budhist icon...)
I own a Pentax Spotmatic. Totally stripped the camera and repaired the camera curtain - when handed over to me it was having a bad shutter .
Opened up the prism area and found that one of the prism protector place retaining spring was dislodge and blocks the gear mechanism of the shutter. Now its a great camera as the images seem to be much richer than the Minolta lenses that i have......maybe its due to the slight aged yellow tinge of the Takumar lens.
Using a 50mm f1.4-Super Takumar SMC lens. With a 2x Teleconverter. Spot metering battery replaced and now works great!!!!
Taught my wife photography(aperture, shutter speeds ec..) and how to use the metering and surprisingly the pictures really turn out to be really good - considering a vintage like this one. Really a good tool to introduce anyone to photogrraphy......
Now i'm looking for some old lens to add on to this body.....
My ME Super just arrived 2 days ago. Black version in excellent plus condition, complete with Pentax case and stripe. Plus the 40/2.8 pancake. It's such a beauty I'm reluctant to use it!
