you using sony digicam meh?

It is really tempting to buy this product. Need to save some>>> for My next purchase. Instead of buying SD card I would choose this product.

By the way this product is how many years warranty?

As the user cannot change the hard disk of the PD6X by himself, what to do if he needs to replace (a damaged or crashed) or upgrade one? Send it back to Eastgear ?

JLk

The harddisk in the PD6X IS USER REPLACEABLE that's why we do sell the PD6X without the harddisk, so that you can buy your own harddisk and install in them.

Does the new "X" version of the Compact Drive support Compact Flash cards formatted with FAT 32?

Does the new "X" version of the Compact Drive have a hinge on the door that opens to access the memory card slots, or does it still have the pop off plastic cover that will soon lost?

Thanks

Now it comes with a hindge door. Quite fast copying images. Good buy.

Anyone know if this device supports the Hitachi 4GB drive?

Thanks.

I saw this model PD7X being discussed at forum http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1023

Is your model PD6X the same as this PD7X in Australia?

Yes, we now have the new PD7X in stock, the only difference is that the new PD7X now supports MS-PRO. We are launching the PD7X at COMEX 2004. CompactDrive PD7X with 40GB is $399, w/o HDD is $249
