Saw from the web pages that there are quite a few plug in and editing software for the PC. I am thinking of ugrading my PC hardware and some of the phtoshop software. Any thoughts of staying in the PC platform or move to mac. Which is more preferred?

i'm with pc since 95 and loving it

cheers

mac....never looked back. never need to

Do you know that this topic has been discussed many many times?

This is like asking if Nikon or Canon is better... :bsmilie:

Here we go again... SSDD.

I'm on both.
Mac for images, video and multimedia stuff.
PC for admin, programming and gaming.

I prefer Mac a little more due to the design, system stability and lower risk of virus and spyware.

agree. however, it would also depend on your preference. if your budget only allow 1, decide based on the one that you will use most.
btw, mac can run on PC base too using emulator

thanks guys. there are still pple who use pcs for photography. also checked the site again for those plug ins..
decided to go for a i7 processor with 4gb, 1TB hdd, win 7 ultimate and ASUS motherboard. So i can play games do the ordinary admin work plus PS processing.

thanks

Mac if you want to run many applications at the same time ; more intuitive for photography and multimedia

PC if you want lots of power for a cheaper price

I'm currently using a Macbook Pro 17"

Asking a question like this will attract a lot of ppl who will say Mac is better though Mac garners like 10%+ of total market. Mac users are very passionate about their machines. So you will definitely get very biased views or getting even more confused...:dunno:

Now, for the really serious advice...

Go buy a MAC. :) :) I love my MacBook and will also get an iMac soon.

Mac for images.. They just look stunning when viewed on a Mac (loving my Macbook white)

PC for games and everything else....

just my 2 cents

third that...I switched to Mac 5 years ago, so glad and never going back Windows, even Windows 7 don't entice me. My only regret, I should have use Mac earlier.
