:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

need? then u must be using it to earn money then how can u not know courts are the worse place? you are paying like RRP. even buy from cathay with credit is cheaper.

yeah a need. and yeah i know places like courts chop so damn teruk! but what to do, i only got cash. but not alot to buy at one go ):

courts was the pioneer of installment payment for electronic items during the 80's.
their biz was so good and ppl dont care about prices then becos that was the only way to
own something almost instantly without hv to pay for the lumpsum. especially for the lower
income.

courts got their biz slash this day becos of CC interest free installment. they're now
useful only to the minority lower income consumer only. soon, courts will becomes a history. :sweatsm:

Where to get a 5dm2 on installment? :sweatsm:

i also want to know this... im planning to get D90 kit... but i want to pay it in 12months installment...

if i'm not wrong the charge 24% pa, that means D90 kit is $1688x24%= $2093/12 month
which is $175 per month

Need means u need it to make money from it. If u are in art school and need it for school work, u can borrow from school.

Dont go buy on credit.. it is really a waste of money cos u end up paying more.

if i m not wrong audiohouse or parisilk has 0% interest rate for 12 months for DBS Visa etc.

Do a calculation, in most cases the total at the end of the year is more than what you would have paid for straight up.

i called up TK foto they are offerring 1,5k for D90 kit 12months installment...

There is really such things as 0% interest one lah......
U go ask CP... ask them how much... then when payment time, say u wanna pay by credit card installment... they cannot raise the price.. of course if u go tell me upfront u wanna pay by credit card installment.. then .. no one will know if they raise price or not...

In any case... Its always good to utilize 0% installment, even if u have the money.. Cos its 0%, and u can use the money now to do more things.. like invest.. etc..
Of course.. it all depends on discipline... and that's what the banks are banking on (pardon the pun) you not to do that...

There's gotta be someone who's paying for the interest, otherwise who on earth would provide installment plan without interest as far as business is concern?

Its just that simple, isn't it? :)

0% interest instalment plans really do mean 0% interest when you are making payments on your credit card bill, BUT, shops like CP already are charging a premium when comparing to many other shops. That's how they cover their admin fee for credit card payment.

No matter what, they will make a profit whether you pay by cash or 0% interest instalment, but by providing such an 'incentive', they draw customers who want to buy without having the cash upfront.

yup... seems like people are replying just for the sake of replying w/o knowing the facts...

i've had interesting free installments before with my citibank n UOB credit cards with NO additional so called admin charges. whatever the store quotes u, u pay off that same amt in installments...

of course the stores will quote u a higher prices if u decide to pay by CC rather than cash.

Yes, you are correct. I wished people here will give correct advice.

As long as you request to make payment by credit card under the 0% interest installment plan and the shop allows it - you pay nothing more. No hidden charges or admin fees. Different CC gives different terms of 12, 24, 36 and even 48 months.

The only thing to note is that your credit limit for the credit card will be reduced by the purchased amount for the entire installment period and you must make the monthly payments promptly or you will risk finance late charges.

IMHO, this is a good way to buy more things as it lesser the pain and I am also still able to afford it.

;p;p;p
