Day 7

I know i had been posting slightly more than 1 picture a day here... but just that I want to 'chase' my pics up as I started quite a number of days earlier than I put in here.. And I am seeing myself disappearing for awhile here again pretty soon... So paiseh peeps... :S

This was my thoughts when I took that kitty:
Was abit lazy today and contemplating to skip setting up even the simplest of setup. Well, I did just that when I saw this cat.. cute little kitty and I skip setting up my strobes all together...

Day 15

Initially wanted to set up my strobes for these shots are the new (unopened) skate park. But when I reached there... the place was teeming with people even though the sign outside boldly reads "NO TRESPASSING". Irony.

Anyways... made the best out of it and in the end... this is the photo I still like best despite it was a test shot..

Nice freezing of the motion.

Day 20

This is from the musical C.A.T.S. Wondered any of you had watched it. It's just fabulous and they just ended their run in Singapore not too long ago. I went back cat hunting for the same cat and found it nonchalant about my presence round the corner again. Lucky me.

Anyway, this not a picture with strobe and just shot of the cam...

Day 21

"The pen is mightier than the sword. A good one makes it ... more comfortable."

Actually I was meaning that it is more comfortable to use the pen to be mightier. But the more I read it, the more the literal sense of the 1st phrase didn't get through... oh well...

Anyways, I bought these 2 Montblanc pen some years back...setting me back by around $580 each. I was mad then and till date still got no idea why did I buy TWO from the same series. It looks good though.

Hey... your flickr site is so similar to Dustin Diaz, with strobist info and a pic a day. You fan of him?

I too am inspired by how he uses small flash. Lets shoot together one of these nights and with combined flash/ light stand/ umbrella etc. What system are you using? Mine's Nikon Cam/ SB900/ Shoot thru umbrella.

If yours Nikon too...Lets shoot together!

hahaha.. ya .. sometimes still his idea...

Can can.. I use Canon /580EXII / FL360R / Metz / softbox n umbrella with gels. Fav gear = 70-200mm hahahha no $$ to get 200mm mah.

Stay ard in amk. shoot everyday usually after 9pm.

Day 22

One of my favourite songs which I heard way back when I was young... Kinda reminds me how many shoes I had as a guy too... hahaha

Took this picture at a singing competition where most of the contestants are your baby boomers.

DAy 23

Was inspired by a song by Jordan Chan.

What it meant in the chinese lyrics was this:
God please help me, being at a age and alone, it's lonely and sad. Life would be meaningless without a love one.

Day 24

Actually this was taken on the same time as Day 23. But because I skipped one day the other time.. so paying back... hahaha

Love the lyrics from 我的背包. Feel it is very apt for this photo.... Enjoy

Day 25

Went round Singapore to actually source for a 'good' ground till I bump into this place in Punggol. I look like a complete idiot while taking this shot but it's worth it.

Took it right smack in the middle of the road with my 2 strobes in front and behind me. Actually wanted to sit down but instead... found a better use of my coin pouch. hahaha...

Sorry no strobist info today. Was feeling weird and hence packed up at record speed. The place where I shot was creepy....

Day 26

Was having breakfast with my colleague and I started showing him my pictures for the last 25 days. Then we toyed with the idea of taking mahjong set... and voila. here it is...

Could not come out with a better phrase.. hence... that in the picture.. hahah

Taken on the ran.. sorry.. no strobist info. Strobe was with a snoot wacking from 45 degree right of camera from behind the tiles..

Day 27

Felt abit moody the entire day today and was actually rushing out to meet my friend for supper. Hence quickly came this idea from nowhere in sight, since it is in my house! Turned out again.. interesting.

Day 28

Well, I hadn't really have much time to set up my strobes and was covering an event.. This is my favorite pic of the night.

It's actually a Senior Citizens' event "Taiji Night" where most of the community centres taiji club and associations come together and display their prowess. Frankly, I am amazed at what they can do ... especially at their age. Impressive.

Day 29

Was out with friend around Clarke Quay doing our strobing. Y.C. took me to a back alley where I was very distracted by some very attractive ladies walking by. Got a mind block on ideas....

Shot some photos and I really have to credit Y.C. for this for his indigenous idea... Though usually I go out for a shoot with a theme in mind... this was thought well after we have shot it and on our way home.

No prizes to guess where I put my strobe with orange gel at.... plus one more umbrella on my left without gel. The wind's pretty strong....

Day 31​

There... One full month and thought it would be a great celebration for me to actually hit one month since I started this project. Actually I didn't expect to be able to last till this full month. As such, I wanted something special for myself and ended up with a portfolio self portrait in the heart of Singapore financial center... Shenton Way.

Got a few stares and one guy even wanted to 'steal' my strobe... he did not see me... 3m away...

Day 32

I missed one day and I actually forced myself to go out there and shoot.Just anything. I was lucky that I thought of something and hence.. this shots. Then it rained soon after....

Nothing much since my mind was actually on something else that happen today... hence the mood...

Day 35

Had not been sleeping for 48hrs already and I still pushed myself for a night shoot with some of my friends (in the picture). We were testing light painting at Padang till I can and whip out my 2 strobes... and there I was.. if you can see me. I was the one firing all the twinkies in the sky around them.

Strobist info? Count how many stars in the picture and that's one flash for everyone of them...in one exposure...
