Looking for part-time photographers, who can shoot on weekends with us whenever we have wedding assignments. Our packages are competitive and therefore, payout is neither fantastic nor high profit. It is only marginal by today's photographer standard, so we only expect to hear from part-timers and weekenders who are looking to shoot 3 to 4 times on a good month. We sometimes have jobs but no photographers who can take on ROM or AD, so in those occasions, your participation will be most welcoming.

Photographer(s) looking to cut a name quickly in this industry need not contact us because we are small players with competitive pricings to offer customers only. Given our small minute profit for each part timer, we also expect you to edit the digital pictures before handing over. If you can work with this, and are not fussy while flexible with payment schedule after the wedding assigntment, and even better if able to work with us from beginning to delivery to customer as if its long term family business to you, please feel most welcome to email: essential.photo@inbox.com.

We also do very afforable studio makeovers frequently and looking out for reasonably skilled studio photographers with good adequate AD skills or vice versa; must posses good people relationship that initiate poses for models to increase productivity of the shoot. Again payout is only mediocre and you wont be a millionaire in months but if you have the passion to join us for skills improvements, forging good comorade with piers, and can make a small pocket token taking budget makeovers, and still like practise shoots of interests, travel to locations just to TFCD, like to forge a long term and stable part-time business relationship and akin to take us like one your buddies, we aim to reciprocate in return out of good faith & goodwill. Poly or uni students, or young chaps going NS, or those looking for a quick buck need not reply cos we prefer more mature working adults who are interested in taking their hobby into a pocket token churning venture while holding their day job, and I stress again, on a long term basis, we will be interested to hear from you.

If the above conditions are acceptable by you, please do email us with porfolio pix or hyperlink for us to view your wedding and studio / TFCD pics before we decide to call you.

Thank you

By saying that the pay is marginal, what is the range like?

abt $200.... they will test u out 2 times with another photographer without getting paid..

which means u will be paid abt $200 on the third assignment...

first two not paid at all...

Btw... i dun work for tis company....

Make some enquiries and was given tis reply... so any takers?

To the TS... good luck in ur recruitment... :bsmilie:

sounds like when the client pays them then they will pay u...if the client defaults...kiss ur pocket money gd bye i guess...

$200 sounds reasonable but depends on wat kind of assignment. if it's 7am to 11pm then i think it's too low. considering must edit the photos as well. if it's for a 3 hour ROM then i think it's reasonable.

So what are the rates the clients are paying for to get the result of photographers being paid so low?

So for each person is tested two time for a whole day of free service + editing. If no one get the chance to make it to the third assignment, they can get a lot of free workers throughout the year.

IMHO a lot of people especially newbies will be taken for a free ride.:bsmilie:

$200...if it's 7am to 11pm say there's a break in between...so 7am to noon plus 6pm to 11pm...that's 10 hours...equal $20 per hour...not to mention the time taken to edit...if the couple insist on having shoot between tea ceremony and dinner...that would be more than 10 hours of work on actual day itself...

the shop earn 50% for being the middle man...and develop the pics and album...

anything i missed out?

who get the better deal? u guys judge for yourself...

when i heard tat tis is the kind of offer... i nearly fell off my chair too..

but my guess is some amateurs will still go for it..

so in tis society... u happy, u take it, not happy , dun take lor...

afterall, no one force on the person, right? :bsmilie:

nevertheless.. i guess the TS is so kind to offer this chance for people who aspire to b a wedding photographer... so good luck to him..;)

The shop can argue the freelance cannot get customers so easily, hence the shop deserves the commission. Oh yeah, all those nasty jobs to chase clients to pay.

Possibly many people cannot make it after two rounds.
AD is not a easy job.

Break or not, you will spend the whole weekend on this shoot. Worth it if you enjoyed the experience even when pay is little (since it was supposed to be a hobby). Feel stupid if you think people are taking advantage of you.

We don't know what is the intention of the TS. It maybe a genuine offer to give chances to those who wanna experience AD and some pocket money. Ah, but then... :dunno:

folks, i can guess how most people feel abt this. nevertheless, it is a u-willing-u-do situation. those who are interested and have done your sums, feel free to contact the TS if u think it is worth ur time.

shall we keep the OT to a minimal? thanks. :)

Sorry to OT a bit but this is purely just my opionion....

Hmmm.. actually, the TS don get 50% of what the couples pay. as mention in the above thread started by the threadstarter, the quotes he quote them is nt very high but not very low also, thus after payout to the "photographers" to shoot and then photos not edited , of course like that the payout to the "photographers" will be just nice, but if editing is in, it is not enough.... y i knw is because i merely knw their TS in person and i am not helping the TS say any lie, it is the HARD TRUTH... TS packages don't let the company get more then 50%... it is always less then 50%.... the photographer who is shooting is the one happy.... shoot ang go, thats it... no need to liase with the customers and let them scold u upside down if the photos suks or some pic is missing....

think like this ba... if the TS gt more then 2 - 4 wedding or roms a mth, then he is the only one editing, the client will get the photos late and TS will be super tired to continue, within a few mths or maybe weeks TS will collapse then the biz can't go on... So thats y if ppl who is not so money conscience which i knw is very hard to find one and i myself too.... can help him to edit their part of photos and hand in to the TS it is just helping him abit and the faster you hand in the photos the faster they pay... am i rite???

Anyway, whoeve ris still interested and don't mind the payout... feel free to look for the TS and if you want to grow with the so called company then of course ur payout will increase as ur seniority grows with the company....

This is really how i feel only.... no harsh comments to anyone... becoz i think alot of photographers knw ow hard editing is and in this line how hard it is to get a small portion of the market....

NO need to reply or comment on my comments as i have mention many many times that this is just how i feel...

IMHO, I think two free testing is a bit too much and still need to show them portfolio in the first place. I dun think they expecting newbies lor, where got newbies got portfolio to show them?

Portfolio should be able to judge the skill of the photographer.

the photographer who is shooting is the one happy.... shoot ang go, thats it... no need to liase with the customers and let them scold u upside down if the photos suks or some pic is missing....

what abt the "shoot and go"(BTW you spell wrongly;p)? although no need to liase with customers, but also need to be be responsible for your photos right, or else also gan na "suan" by the TS and co. The worst they must use of you twice before they said you CMI.
