Very nice Wee Lian. Great shots. If I had to choose which ones I like, and I can't say "ALL", then I would say I particularly like no. 17, and 36.

Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to your photos.

Thanks for your kind words.

Cheers,
Weelian

really good crisp photos you have there. kinda feel like jumping onto a plane to Paris right now!

Keep them coming!

Thanks. But wait till Dec to go. Winter is nicer!

wow ! I really love your take on street photography.. MUCH more interesting than the usual sombre black and white overly contrasty shots.

May I please query how did u achieve such nice balance and tones ?

For example, in the photo above, taken in a church, no doubt tungsten light dominates. I've taken photos like this too, but they're almost invaribly too warm and in low light, very grainy as well due to the high ISO. If i increase the aperture, the depth of field becomes too shallow.. so i'm quite at a loss. Flash guns are also not too welcomed in church..

Also, in many of your outdoor shots in winter, you've achieved marvellous skin tones as well. I just got back from a very bleak and cold Prague, and most of my photos have turned out rather dull and cold due to the extremely flat, cool and shadowless daylight.

Just asking for advise if you could provide any..I'm a learner and definately camping here !

Hi Newbsnapper,

Thanks for your kind words. Surely you give me too much credit.

For dark places, i shoot handheld. Since I never bought my flash, I just push the camera and hoped for the best.

The cloudy sky is fantastic! It's like the huge softbox in the sky. Pretty much everything looks nice there!

As for the skin tones, it's LR3 101 for me. Find something white and click it with a WB tool. Then eyeball it a bit if you're not satisfied.

If all fails, I'd say it's the good equipment that did the job.

It's time to vote if color or BW is nicer again.
