Pany 7-14 DIY filter solution

I tried a few materials. Settled for black foam sheets from the neighbourhood stationary shop, those for kids' arts and craft. The felt material was too soft and stretches very easily. The rubber was too difficult to cut nicely. Can use black cards, too, but paper will soften and crumble over time, esp. when in the bag.

Think for GND, the last iteration of the gaskets should work.

Btw, for the Big Stopper, I removed the factory installed gaskets so that it can easily slide in. That would definitely hurt resale value.

hmm, care to share the stuff used for the DIY gasket?

looks like some felt material?

geez, i realised in the first few pics, you covered the entire side of the holder too? a must-do for GND ah?

Won't hurt if you sell to another 7-14 user or user-to-be, probably make!

ahhh, no can do!

i need the big stopper for my DSLR too! cannot afford to spend another $240 just for the E-M5! :(

Can mount the filter the other way round, gaskets facing outside. But not sure if will vignette, or not.

My guess is will not vignette as the gasket should be well out of the fov of the lens?
