Panny GF3 or G3 or GH2?

Hi all,

I'm a AVCHD big fans & shoot in FullHD. I'm a Panny user too. Recently looking for another cam for extra angle while shooting. GF3, G3 & GH2 seems giving me an good idea to go! What's your opinion/suggestion to the above models?

My expectation:
Price bout 1k-1.5k
Interchangeable lens
FullHD in AVCHD

None of the above cameras does 1080p I'm afraid. Its either 720p or 1080i. The GH2 is a cut above the other two because it has audio inputs and manual audio control plus full control over all ISO, shutter speed and aperture in movie mode. Whereas GF3 and G3 are almost totally auto in movie mode. The low light sensitivity is also much better in the GH2.

Which cam now in the market goes with AVCHD+1080p+Interchangeable lens? Which will you recommended?

P/s: will you really concern bout interlace & progressive?

GH2 is around $1600. G3 is around $1000. If you must shoot 1080p, Canon 60D is a good choice. For web distribution (viewing on computer monitors), progressive gives much better results. Consider getting AF102, or NEX FS100 if you are need XLR and audio monitoring.

Its not comparable actually ...

Its like comparing a compact with dslr ...

If you are serious in your video, have to go with GH2 with all the manual functions and sharper videos.

If you can hold out, Sony VG20 is coming Jan-Feb. This is one will be SWEET! Unlike the VG10, it will do 1080p, audio metering and manual audio control. Sensor is larger than m4/3 and has phone-output.
