Panny 100-300mm and Oly 75-300mm

I have the 100-300 just got it from HK couple of weeks back. Just based on some random shots I took at the furthest end (300 or 600) on my GX1, I am blown away by its reach and sharpness! Highly recommended !

100-300mm ? it's a crazy size already.

Why we buy GX1 ? I think all about it's compact size and not so bad foto quality ....

but when yo decide to use 100-300mm lens ,why not go to get a real DSLR ?

because DSLR with effective range that can reach 300-600mm with OIS, is even more crazier in size.
between crazy and crazier, i go for the crazy. and GX1 with 100-300mm is much cheaper than DSLR + a lens that has similar range.

certainly. u have to choose either EP3 IBIS or the lens OIS. IS does not work when both are switched on.
and my experience is that OIS work better than IBIS especially for the far tele end.

Oh! You mean i can activate Lens OIS on my EP-3? I was always under the impression that OIS is not going to work for Olympus bodies. hmm
Now I am seriously considering this (as well as other panasonic) lens.

A flickr set of 100-300 with EP3 to share. Nice lens, just a little too long at times. Haven't been using much. The OIS does work well. On bright light, it's a very good performer.

turn the OIS on and remember to deactivate IBIS on EP3.

Been reading up on 75-300mm and the 100-300mm.. Seems that both have its pros and cons.
