Panasonic X Vario PZ 14-42 Pancake in SGP yet?


Got the lens from Funan a few days ago. Corners are so much better than the EP3 kit! Still getting used to the 'power zoom' bit tho as so used to just turning the zoom lens usually. One thing I noticed - the lens seems sharper when i turn the Olympus In-Built Stabilisation OFF when used on a tripod. Why is that so?

It's always recommended to turn all IS off when using tripod cos there's no movement for the IS to try and correct. If IS is on, it will over compensate and create shake. Exactly the issue u want to avoid.

Ok that makes sense. When i turned off the Olympus body IS, i thought it was the Panasonic lens IS that was doing the wonderful job of keeping blur at bay. Until i read the manual and it says that he lens IS is not enabled on non Panasonic bodies :bsmilie:
