Panasonic SD-90 helps with mac.

I just brought a SD-90. it's AVCHD files doesn't work with iMovies . i need help . my iMovies is the latest update. i only know that iFrames format can work but i want a bigger resolution.

What program can i use to edit my AVCHD files using mac ?
