Frankly speaking, other than Tomcat, I have not seen any other pan users post any photos. Guess u guys to increase the activity rates to make the opening of a sub-forum justifiable. The pan forum at dpreview is full of activities with users sharing techniques, photos all the time.

FYI, I have emailed the moderators on starting Pan forum - no news from them though. Other active photo community like dp review and Steve Digicam's all have pan forum.....hopefully we will see one real soon

Btw, are you shooting at the lowest ISO?

I can't really recall what was the ISO setting (there were 600+ pics taken during the 9-day trip), I believe most of the time it was set to auto.

Just wondering how you manage to get a shot almost eye-level with the light house(see 1st picture). i suppose there is a small hill next to the light house, am i right Anyway, exposure was on the dot :thumbsup:

The lighthouse photo was taken just at the gate entrance. It is certainly not from another hilltop. ;p

I will have to thanks to FZ10's 12X optical zoom :lovegrin:, it is the distance away that made the photo looks as if it was taken from another hilltop. :bsmilie:

Anybody knows where to get a casing for FX10 and currently what you all use to put it? It seems that I'll have trouble bringing it around when I go for holidays if there's no proper casing for it. Bringing it around is also quite a problem at times, when you are carrying many things and can't afford to throw it in your bag.

I'm not too sure about FX10. I got it for like 1 week already and still not very sure on taking good pictures when it. The auto zoom is pretty good but when you want to take close up things, it's hard to get a really SHARP and FINE picture, the auto zoom don't really work then and I don't know how to use the manual zoom. LOL. How sad rite? BUT.. The camera is really great.

Taken at East coast, ~ 7am(condition: rather hazy)
