I like to view the pictures when i switch on but not take a picture. Does anyone knows how i can prevent the lens from activating and protruding?
Thanks for the reply.
Every time I set the AF, face detection or Filters, they are reset when I switch off the camera. Can they be programmed so that they don't change?
lens distortion anyone? knows how to fix? anyone? how to load d lux profile on lightroom?
If the LX100 is a mirrorless camera with an LCD or EVF then the camera is applying lens profiles automatically before you see the image, and therefore, Adobe also applies lens profiles automatically. These are internal profiles that cannot be turned off so they aren’t in the list of external profiles that you can turn on and off. LR doesn’t yet indicate if internal profiles are being used, but maybe in LR 6?
Starting with ACR 8.4, I think, Photoshop’s Camera Raw plug-in will show that built-in profiles are being used and what specific things they correct for. This information is on the lens profile tab then there is a message at the bottom right.

The lens correction profile should be in the RAW file, right? I just purchased the Leica D-Lux (typ 109) and opened the test RAW files in Iridient Developer 3.0 beta and it automatically corrects the lens distortion (you can turn it off if you like).
BTW ID identifies the D-Lux as the LX100 - IOW it sees them as the same camera. It is still a beta release.

From what I've read, the lens profiles are already built-in and are embedded in the raw files, should be auto corrected the moment you load into LR (assuming you have the updated versions of LR and Adobe Camera Raw), or any other raw converters like Iridient Developer.
Hmm, to be honest, the bottom photo does look like the lens-related distortion (pincushion, barrel distortion) are already auto-corrected to my eyes. E.g., Lines of the building look straight.
The distortion you want to correct seems like keystone effect due to the perspective the photo was shot at. This kind you gotta adjust yourself, can't be fixed by a lens profile cos it's not a lens issue?

Hi guys whats the best price for LX100 now and where?
PS: Couldnt find any from the other threads.
I use Divpower on most of my cam as it last longer then original & it comes with a year warranty unlike original no warranty. The one I'm using on my LX100 is 2800mAh compare to original 1025mAh, best of all is way cheaper then the original.
