Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100 & LEICA D-Lux Type 109

my gariz 1/2 case came in from korea yesterday.. bought the black one, matches the camera well!

the pros:
• adds a grip which I feel the d lux is sooo missing,
• fits very nicely,
• up to personal taste but the black one further adds the classy look of the camera
• access to battery and sd card compartment (vs the official leica ones which completely blocks the base)
• can still use tripod mount

the cons though? tripod mount is a bit off centred, haven't tried it but i'm not too sure if it can still balance on one of those mini tripods. it also adds a bit of bulk so forget about putting the camera in your jacket pocket when overseas. and 1/2 case is more like 1/8 case.. if you're thinking of using the case to protect the camera from fingerprint smudges etc etc, look elsewhere.. really, the only only added benefit i can see from using this is the addition of a hand grip + protection for base of camera

hehe sure can balance on mini tripods. i use the cam with gariz case frequently on a manfrotto table tripod.

1/3 case la hehe... 1/8 case abit too small.... protection also on the front and sides of the camera. top and back exposed.

yeah you are right, it does balance lol

I bought the JJC auto lens cap.. It was a good fit.. Can take it out easily too.. Best thing for me is that it can be used with my b+w filter attached.. No need to waste money to buy another slim filter..

I am inspired to make video after watching the 2 clips. :)

Ha ha.... I am not into video but wonder what software did they use to adjust the colpour of the clips. Will really want to find some time and try it out.

For the Venice piece, some people did ask in the comments section. Otabek Djuraev (the person who shot it) mentioned he used Magic Bullet Colorista (a Premiere Pro plugin by Red Giant) :)

I am wondering how to get back the same jpeg colours of Panasonic in lightroom when I'm manipulating the raw.

What flash are u all using on this camera besides the given one? I'm looking at getting a 4 batteries one. The Nissin i40 cannot fit well into the hot shoe.

can't stand the lens distortion, especially at wide angle.. anyone knows how to correct it on lightroom? i duno how to load the lens profile onto it... =(
