Not sure about the leica price.. Just know that it also went of of stock and dunno when coming.. Ha..

local Panny is $49, Leica is $89 approx depending on how u bargain. Think that's a good way to decide whether u wana pay for the freight or just wait for stocks. With the amount of LX100s sold, Pana shouldn't be dragging too long.

Some of the previous comments mentioned that the 109 is likely to have better resale value down the road.

Some other differences I can think of:

LX100
- MIC
- features a small rubber grip
- Video: AVCHD option for HD video
- Available in silver or black

109
- 3 year international warranty
- Bundled with Lightroom
- MIJ
- optional hand grip (attached via baseplate)
- Video: mp4 only for HD video

Other differences:
- Slightly different form factors
- Obviously, different software menus

Might have missed some stuff, actual owners please chime in
