Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100 & LEICA D-Lux Type 109

Anyone with the leica auto cover can advise other than cokin, is there any other brand/model filter which can be used and bought locally?

it can probably only fit the cokin.... i tried a b+w nano xs-pro which is one of the slimmer filters around, and no go....

The problem is more of finding any ultra thin filter brand that has filter with 43mm filter thread,

The good about havin a bright large sensor compact is that you can get blur background quite easily

Kids photography is about 50% hit rate if they run. Just using face detection which works well enough for most situation including streets. I do miss tilt-&-touch screen for low angle fun shots.

Anywhere I can get the camera at reasonable price and all the freebies?

Thx

Got it from MS Color @ $1199 with the pre order freebies.. Was told the freebies from Panasonic ending soon.

Have been using the typ 109 for a while. This 'tiny' camera is really a joy to use. Especially for short trips and family outings.:)

a few shots from today walking about during lunch time. These are converts from RAW.

i also shot some JPEGs with WongLp today testing the natural and vivid mode for the lumix vs leica. see if we can post together for comparison hehe

The DR is quite good ah

hehe yes... and if you trust DXO... the LX100 DR at 12.5 EVs is even better than my 5D3 at 11.7 EVs....

certainly the best DR of any "compact cameras" i have used.

JPGs for the comparison with wonglp's Lumix cont'd

Haha. It is indeed a poisonous camera... Don't think Panny SG has a showroom. Gotta go to the shops/stores.

The LX100 does have a 'miniature effect' filter that can be applied to stills/video. Should be able to use it with the timelapse function as well. Just set to the filter, then start the timelapse. Personally prefer to apply the effect in post (using Magic Bullet Looks in either AE or Ppro) though, at least you can control how strong you want it and tweak it to fit your scene best.

Hi all, does this cam wifi to iPhone through an app. Read but seems different info given.

Thanks

Sorry for the poor question.

I am trying to see if this camera allows wifi transfer of images to iPhone (namely iPhone)? I read reviews that it is android supported. Some reviews say it's only android. Some review says they managed to wifi transfer to their iPhone.

So does it wifi transfer images to iPhone?
