Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8

I think what I did wrong is I use the face detection then I use the 49 points thing then I'm using f1.7 :x that's why so blur and shutter speed is 1/60.

ok thanks bro, learm something from you too ... cheers

Wow Bro Ryan,
You have both GH4 n GX8. The best from Panny. Are you a pro or enthusiast?
Haha .. no lah bro pleong ... I am only a gear collector ... :dunno::bsmilie:

But there are many experts around here in this forum ...

I do a lot of multicam video editing in FCPX and Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Even though I have GH4 and GX8, that's only 2 angles, so I always ended up having to borrow many video cameras ...

Cheers

Thanks for sharing. May I ask what is a good video editor to combine several videos, say 4, into 4 parts of the screen simultaneously running?

BTW, there is talk about our gx8 has 30min video limit, but I tried using avhd FHD mode to rec more than 45mins. Am I missing something?

for those who had bought the local set and waiting for redemption, anyone know how we know whether the redemption confirm starting after 22dec?

I am using Adobe Bridge CS6 because of the dual monitor capability.

But Adobe Bridge CS6 cannot read the raw files from GX8 leh ... although my Lightroom CC can open raw files from GX8.

Any tips ?

Thanks

Use lightroom, it can use on dual monitor.

Thanks catchlight.

I have Lightroom CC subscription, my Lightroom can do dual monitor without problem.

I need Adobe Bridge CS6 to recognise my raw files from GX8, is that possible ?

Thanks

Hi, Ryankhoo,
I read that Adobe RAW update 9.1.1 can read GX8 RAW files in CS6: here:
http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/07/camera-raw-9-1-1-is-now-available.html
Thanks pkong, your link is for Lightroom.

For Lightroom, I can confirm now that it can read raw files from GX8 !

But I am still hoping my Adobe Bridge CS6 can read raw files from GX8 !

Let us know if it works for GX8. I'm tempted to buy this camera.:)
Ok go buy now ! :bsmilie:

Change to Shuttle speed priority and select how long you want the long exposure to be ... but remember to bring a tripod !

Enjoy your camera !

It's Shutter Priority mode , where one gets to decide how long the shutter will remain open for the shot. I'm sure you can also do a long exposure in M (Manual) mode but it may be auto-ISO if I don remember wrongly.

S and M mode can do long exposure, auto mode also can, provided there's a setting for it. Learn basic photography, it sounds like you're new

I use M mode but it limit me to a certain number that's why I ask how do I use long exposure

Certainly has a fastest and slowest shutter speed limit. Question is how long is your long exposure you want to achieve. Also, if the ambient light is not dark enough, even when using at smallest aperture f22, you won't be able achieve the slowest shutter limit of 60sec. 60sec long exposure is certainly long enough for most beginners. If still insufficient there's also bulb mode which u will require getting a cable release or use the image app on a smartphone.

Really? I always keep my finger on the shutter release and count to 8 or some time like that in Bulb mode.

Hi Ryan,
I used Adobe RAW Convertor to convert my rw2 or any new raw format to DNG format.
This DNG format can be read by almost any apps.
Hope this help.
