Read in Today that the GM1, 12-32 seems to be going at $388 at the Harvey Norman expo fair

Saw a deal at Adorama for the GM1 (blue or orange) with the kit lens for US$399.99 but I went to a more local dealer and got the GM5 for US$399.99. Also got the 42.5mm f/1.7, which seems a perfect match for the GM5--it's smaller than the 25mm f/1.7.

I wouldn't say that makes it a better match than the 25mm, because the size difference is really quite marginal.

The 42.5mm is 5mm smaller in diameter, and 2mm shorter in length, and 5g heavier, compared to the 25mm. So, get it cos the FOV is what you want/need, not cos it's smaller. I have one

Of course but I have both now. It's just amusing to see the 42.5mm f/1.7 on the GH4 (or GX8 or E-M1) instead of the GM5.

I also have attached the GM5 to my Olympus ZD 35-100mm f/2.0, which is currently my largest lens.

Rumours last year guessed Q1-2 this year, but that has come and gone. Possibly Photokina in Sept? *shrug*

IMO, if you can find it for a good enough price, cameras that have been released for awhile usually tend to present the best value cos retailers are clearing stock. So worth or not depends on the price you can find it for, and if the feature set match what you're looking for.

Hi, just wanna ask you guys... is there any place that still sells GM5? I've tried asking a few places but they no longer have any stock. Appreciate it if any of you can point to a shop that still has them in stock.
