Was using Voigtlander Nokton 40mm/f1.4 S.C which looks like this:
This one, shown above, is the Voigtlander Nokton 35mm/f1.4 S.C which has almost the same optical quality as the 40mm/f1.4 S.C.
Personally, I find focusing with the EVF is pretty easy. Easier than focusing manually on crop sensor cameras. Can zoom in some more! 100% accuracy if used with tripod!
I bought the G1 to use with my M lenses. The kit lens is still in the box, unwrapped and untouched.

yes. shooting manual lenses on G1 very easy. U can see them too on my flickr stream.

By the way, is the Image Quality & Colors different for S.C. & M.C. ??

The M.C is said to be more contrasty than the S.C. But personally, I find there is not much difference. Besides the coating colour on the lens itself, I couldn't find any visible difference on the pciture taken by them at all.
As for the M4/3 to 4/3 adapter, personally I feel that's because there are electronic contacts and it's more "difficult" to make at the moment. Come a few more months... I am sure there will be China made ones which will be cheaper.
The FD to M4/3 & C to M4/3 should be in soon. And the next batch of M to M4/3 adapters will not have the infinity focus issue.

yeah, bought this lens together with Bessa R for my son 2 years ago from chiif. I love this lens but never made good use of it because shooting film sometimes is a bit frustated as only able to view the results after finished the whole roll of film. So now I'm able to enjoy it and with 2x crop senor, its focal length is just nice for portrait.
