i actually asked the sales staff today about this, and they told me that $599 was yesterday's price. price has gone up to $649 today due to falling stock levels.
I think its a good deal. I got help from a friend to buy the FX9 at $749 with the 1gb card, extra battery, casing, cleaning kit and safety case. The safety case is actually kinda cool. Its the stuff like in the movies when the hitman puts his weapons inside a hardcase with all the foam. Quite happening. Maybe I'll find a use for it. I missed out on getting a screen protector.
