set your pict adj to 0, +1, +1, -1 (that's wat i use most of the time) and aperture pirority mode(change to shutter piority when deem fit) with EV set to -1/3 (depending on histogram i'll change the value), spot focus, center weight metering, IOS mode 2.

Sounds daunting for a beginnnes

just wondering is anyone have notice... the colour produce by fz18 is not tat brillant as compare to canon... coz i was comparing some of my shot with others tat put on website... and find the colour produce from fz18 not vivid enough...

is it got something to do with the auto white balance??? should i use customize white balance instead???

i like to set my WB to daylight unless otherwise required.

based on website, definately FZ18 is better... personally i have never try h9 before so can't comment much... but why not try some other camera...
