Just took a look at DCHome and was shocked to find that P6000 is selling at 4050 (~ 750SGD) for the same bundle mentioned above. A shocking 100SGD more expensive! :o

I really love the design of this camera. But after looking at the iso400 picture samples from a user link from earlier post, I'm quite disappointed.

The Panasonic LX3 samples at iso400 is much better. Have a fast lens plus HD video. This is my current choice. Panasonic have improved a lot since but Nikon seems to go the other way on the compact area by puting more megapixel into the small CCD.

I will wait for Canon G10 and see if it can do better.

I had always wished for Nikon to come up with a compact with performance comparable to G9 but they managed to prove otherwise. Now G10 is out and functions are pretty impressive, if the picture quality at ISO400 is good, I may take it into consideration, along with LX-3 and GX-200.

Price is $645 including a carrying case and a 4GB card.

Randius, may I know which shop quoted you the $645 including case and 4GB SD ? thanks in advance.

Fully agree. I will stay clear of Nikon compacts & will put my money down on the LX3 any day. The f/2.0 lens is to die for!! Waiting for the Canon G10 to come out with a proper review... so can compare the both of them
