Own a 60D should I upgrade to Canon mark III or Nikon D800

What I mean should I get Canon 5D Mark III or Nikon D800. So many review on the net some say Canon are good some say Nikon. Would want to get a FF and stay with it for good and upgrade my lens.

Which is pretty simple, right? If some say 5DmkIII is good, some say D800 is good... simply means that both are good and you wouldn't go wrong with any one of them. So if you cannot get both at once, then priortise which one you like best (ergonomically, style of shooting, user interface, lens and accessories availability + user interface, etc). None of us here is going to be too helpful in helping you select your camera because none of us know who you really are, what type of shooting style and genres do you specialise in and how you like about the feel of your camera (which can be very very personal).

That is also why some of us (including myself) asked you to get both cameras together (okay, not the 1DX, but the 5DmkIII). For faster framerate and slightly better AF system, the 5DmkIII is the choice to go, for better dynamic range, resolution and a big big MP, D800 is the way to go... and if you want both, then you need to get both cameras

Having experience with both, I like the resolution of d800E and the skin tone of mkiii. Get a used set to try. Not happy then sell it off. Others' preferences may not be the same as yours.

You still don't get it.. many of us here are trying to put across to you.....

We'd like you to consider the following questions and perhaps answer them:
1. What restrictions are you facing (or were facing) with the 60D?
2. What have you tried doing to overcome these difficulties?
3. Why do you think the 5DM3/D800 will solve these difficulties?
4. What do you hope to achieve with the 5DM3/D800 other than points listed in (3)?
5. What type of photography are you likely to focus on, if any?
6. Do you currently own any lenses? If so, which ones?
If you answered "Dunno" to any of the questions from (1) to (4), then have a re-think before deciding.

All these will help us to understand why and whether you should upgrade and also, which of the 2 models listed would be better.

Come to think of it.. Every now and then there are always in fact too many thread on this or that... when both are already very fine equipment. If you dontknow what to buy..what u want. You probably dont even need it..and even if u got it..beside you holding it in your hand. There will be no other differences at all. Because all will be the "same" and good to you.

Makes me wonder..do u crack your head or pull so much hair whenever you're deciding what to buy? Ie, what brand of laptops, HDD, refrigerator, Tv, shampoo etc and etc. I bet you dont..Right? Especially if photography is'nt even your bread and butter.. Just have to do it. If u dont try. You never know. Go get 1 that u like more and move on. There are other more important things to worry about (besides camera..even if u are a pro).

What you really need is the 1 DX. You won't have to think "what is better DSLR" anymore. Unless you decide to go Large Format Digital .

Ultimately it falls on the photographer budget, shooting preference and skill level.
I suggest kelvinmark rent either body with decent lens before deciding which to buy.

Oh... wow... it seemed like this kelvin really really want heaps and heaps of information before making a purchase. Good for him. It took six months and nothing was done. Perhaps another one year of more, he could look to get a brand new FF model from Canon or Nikon and 'stay' with that camera for good while upgrading lenses
