An overseas seller(stranger) wanted to me to send him money before sending the goods to me.

He does not trust me so do I....

Would you send him the money or even part of the agreed amount as deposit?

:dunno:

How u noe him?
Wat u buying from him?
Big amount?
Normally i dun trust any stranger..unless either he is recommended by others or deal with others. If ebay, then can at least see his rating...

Ask him if he accepts Paypal, even with you covering his paypal fees (about 3-4%), it is safer for you provided you use a credit card to pay and NOT your paypal balance......

You can always reverse the paypal charge through your CC issuing bank

He was selling Canon 550D at about S$650... too good to resist.

He asked for half the amount as deposit but I insisted on seeing the product.

He claimed that he is schooling in KL so I asked for the address as I was travelling to KL. I also asked for the name of the school.

He did not reply.

Just to warn all.... got to be careful when dealing with stranger...
