Overexposed shots with Casio Exilim

I've got a 2 year old Casio Exilim which is starting to play up on me.

During the day when I try to take shots, they are all overexposed, regardless of whether I tweak the EV and other settings.
But at night, it is much better.

My friend said that it could be due to condensation inside the lens (cos I brought it to a hot and dry place, then to a hot and humid place) or dust.

Is that possible, and if so, how can I rectify the problem?

Seems to be a problem with your camera. Not just overexposure.

u shouldnt even be seeing bars on ur photo.

did u set it to one of those "special effects" settings?

if not, think ur sensor got problem le.

Yup, I got a shock too when those horizontal bands appeared!
Hoped dat it was just some settings I accidentally changed, but there were no special modes or settings.

Looks like the camera is just a goner.

This is an excuse to head to MS Color to get the f50fd perhaps =)

Wonder if it's the same Sony sensor blight affecting some cameras (e.g. my old Nikon Coolpix 5700). Maybe you can check if there're some Casio advisories for a free fix
