Since the thread starter has explained his standpoint, I gladly accept it, and I gladly apologize for any inconvenience caused.

But what is the thread starter trying to convey through the photos? That, I have difficulty in understanding. Any explanation?

I do not think that the thread starter needs to explain his standpoint and neither do you. Do we as observers of the photograph really care what sort of predicament you are in when you do take the photo? We appreaciate the picture for what it is and what it tries to convey ... and not some explanation like "oh this was my block so I took the photo".

Anyway an apology has been conveyed ... but I still sense arrogance in your tone.

far as i'm concerned, this is the Reportage and Sports section, and the threadstarter just shot to report, he/she just captured the truth to showcase, whether or not he/she is a media practioner. if you wanna argue based on that, then i guess this section should only be open to authorised media personnel eh?

Does he need to in the first place? He was there, he took some pics and posted it here.

This is just about the same as your photo of the suicide scene. You care to explain why you decided to put that particular picture there?

LA: Thanks for sharing the shots. Nice to see the usual reaction of the public to an uncommon event.

I did not rush there just to be a wannabe photojournalist. I was along the way in town with my friend. And the same time I had my cam with me. I just only taking photo on the people looking at the place. Not taking photo on the deceased. Do you see any photo that I take is on the deceased? It is only Picture on Singapore people being kepo in going to see it. Waitting for something to happen on them.

ok So like that everyone can't not take photo.. Only for Photojournalist or people working for the newpaper?

-_-

And

GUYS

I am not doing a portfolio to be photojournalist or getting "gold mine"..

I just like to take photo. ok?
I too do not think you need to account for your actions. In fact, I appreciate the fact that you posted these shots, for I was not there, and the press is only concerned about taking the closest shot they can get of the body.

In fact, I wont mind if you may show more shots of the crime scene. Not because I am from the press, or because I am kaypo, but because I do wonder what it is like to have such a thing hapening right in the heart of Orchard Road. The spectators...the police...the tourists even?

i know of many who likes to bring their cam herever they go, as they like to take photos...must there be a reason to shoot??

I dun think so..

It is just a online moniker, is there anything wrong with it?

Let me introduce myself, as my online moniker suggest, i am a newbie at photography , i use a FIJI A330 which is junk, and i SNAP FOR PASSION, no wish to make a portfolio or no wish to become a photographer by profession

Checked on dictionary.com

No entry found for lordess.

The term would be Lady

Much arrogance from you mr sehsuan, SOME of your photos may be nice but that DOES NOT give you any rights to bring down another person by saying 'no taste'

Professional or SNAPPING FOR PASSION , does it matter? I think not, you do not snap photos just for the sake of getting a portfolio, maybe that's you, wishing to be a sports photographer from your sig.

Why flame her for taking pictures of officials at work or the curious citizens, anything wrong with that? Ok , it's linked to a murder , but wait a minute, why don't you explain your own from the suicide at 'your block' ?

You are double standard, ONLY YOU can do something but not others. Sorry to rant but you are too much.

i'm not an english teacher, i happen to be deployed to teach it despite not being trained in it. and yes, i do work in a school.

I really wonder how the students under you are fairing, i really think they need another teacher.
