option for poster to mark his thread as "private - for members only"

hi,

i understand that the portraiture and poses gallery is as such, it is private and for members only to prevent leeching.

however some people may wish to post their images which they only want members of clubsnap to view, and not viewed by others. an example would be like somebody takes a prized picture of let's say S.H.E. and he wants to keep it private and not leeched by **girls.com, but he's not gonna post this pic under portraiture and poses coz it's the wrong forum altogether.

perhaps an option for the poster to mark his thread as "private" should be made.

Many things in the world cannot be prevented. 99% of such measures are usually not meant to stop things from happening but to minimize them, or act as a form of inconvenience so as to put people off (hopefully). Say, if 10 people want to leech, and 5 of them register while the other 5 cannot be bothered. In a way, the method works (to a certain extend).

But is there demand for such a function? That is what the admin/webmaster have to determine.

Well, how about a "Private - By Invitation Only" approach? ;p i.e., when you create a thread, you can specify a list of CS members allowed to view the thread you posted.

Such a feature may not be supported "out of the box" by the forums software used by CS.
