Hey guys, just wonder how many of you out there will believe or eventually deal with online stores?

Recently, I'd found out an online stores, n emailed them.

They quote me a very very cheap price for the camera gadgets.

Nikon D7000 ( body only) - USD 1000
Nikkor 18-200 - USD 550
Tamron 17-50 - USD 500

Is it a trustable one?

Mind to share your online buying exp?

I'm afraid most probably this will be a scam?

Which online shop are you referring to? And tamron 17-50 at 500usd if no VC is actually quite expensive

whatever online stores, you can just Google their names, you will able to find are these stores trustworthy or not.

for buying from Adorama or B&H, most people chose to use Vpost, Borderlinx or Comgateway for concierge service.

and the sales manager who served me is David Maxwell.

Do you guys heard of this company name? he claimed that his company is based on UK.

Free shipping. using FedEx. and pay via Western Union.

SOMEMORE, he says that due to i bought 3 items frm him one shot, a free SB-600 and camera bad will be GIFT away.

KvinP, I did a little research for you and this is a complete SCAM! He's using the name of a legit store in the UK so when an unsuspecting customer does a quick Google search everything seems on the up and up on the surface.

Apparently, this guy was offering the D7000 for sale a month before it was even released. He has no online store, but just a bunch of classified ads placed around the world. Big red flag!

The biggest red flag of all is that he only accepts Western Union. I do not know of any legitimate company that uses that service.

Listen to the other guys and look into B&H Photo or Adorama. I've bought extensively from both, and they are real stores. They have a physical and online presence, and have been in business for quite some time.

i have also been google-ing, researching, about example of scam.

this has been really much look like one for me after many of the ways of he dealing with me match the example given.

btw, BH and adorama send their products to Asia? with courier fees charged? what about the warranty or return period if found out faulty of the products?

to TS, you can actually check your concerns on the website BH or Adorama and communicate with them directly should you have any queries. I got scammed waay before i discovered help from CSers here.

I myself bought many items from BHPhotovideo and was actually have the same concern as yours. I recently, bought the reduced price of the GH1. My 1st time buying a camera ONLINE.

I am now a very happy user and so far..so good.:thumbsup::thumbsup: for reputable online stores.

already confirmed( by myself), that this is actually a scam..
cuz he give a too low price, give a quite expensive gift, and insist on pay via westernUnion.
and also, he used a normal free email hosting.

You have to be careful when the payment is by western union, because there is no way you can hold the payment till after you receive the good. Paypal is a safer alternative
