in the late 70s it cost S$34,000 to buy a new 2nd Generation Honda Accord. mid 70s it cost 4000 to buy a used mazda 323. fuel about .25 a lit.
4 room flat 17K. leica M4 about 1,500. to make a colour print is 0.45 3R size. average salary is $750.00. bus fare 5cent to 50 cents. season ticket for student is 5.00 a month 60 trip or more. conductor some time don't punch a hole for you then you get extra trip. movie ticket cost $0.5 to 2.5 circle seat.
50 cents can watch 2-3 movie in the old great wold/new world/gay world, same as existing place theatre name is atlantic/globe. in geylang cinema name Diamond, usually play tamil movie 3-4 hours student pay 0.25 cent, hot day we enjoy aircon there after, some roll of seat must avoid, because of bug. chicken rice .5 to S$1 can add rice the old lady don't charge us. what else you want to know?
