Yawn.... trite and boring.

TS - very insightful article. how about the development of red digital camera.

An added function like this can often double the cost of lens. For example, a Canon EF 70-200mm F/4L can cost $550 while her IS capable twin costs $1100. This is the market value of the anti-shake function.

Geez... this is like someone saying that the Evolution and Lancer are the same cars, but adding a turbo made the Evolution twice as expensive, and thus turbo is an expensive part.

Wake up please... the EF 70-200 f/4 IS is a different lens from the non-IS version, and the IS-version has different optics. And the same goes for the 100mm macro L lens with IS - it's not the same non-IS lens slapped with Image Stabilizer and going for double the price!

Students who have to do essays please take note.

TS has shown you a universal template to start your essays. Please memorise these lines:

"1789 was a year of revolution. It was a year when men and women seeking for freedom finally unleashed their roar. 1868 was a year of revolution. It was a year when Japan, the first geographical Asian country, opened its doors to the western world, therefore dramatically changed the modern history of Mankind. 1987 was also a year of revolution. It was a year when..."

It can be modified to suit any context. For example,

1789 was a year of revolution. It was a year when men and women seeking for freedom finally unleashed their roar. 1868 was a year of revolution. It was a year when Japan, the first geographical Asian country, opened its doors to the western world, therefore dramatically changed the modern history of Mankind. 1775 was also a year of revolution. It was the year when James Watt finished putting the final touches on his steam engine, hence heralding the age of the industrial revolution.

or

1789 was a year of revolution. It was a year when men and women seeking for freedom finally unleashed their roar. 1868 was a year of revolution. It was a year when Japan, the first geographical Asian country, opened its doors to the western world, therefore dramatically changed the modern history of Mankind. 1936 was also a year of revolution. It was the year when Keynsian economics was born, hence heralding a new era in the way economics on the national level was handled.

or

1789 was a year of revolution. It was a year when men and women seeking for freedom finally unleashed their roar. 1868 was a year of revolution. It was a year when Japan, the first geographical Asian country, opened its doors to the western world, therefore dramatically changed the modern history of Mankind. 1941 was also a year of revolution. It was the year when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, a course of action that would eventually result in far-reaching consequences.

It is best to arrange the events in chronological order for better flow of ideas, but other than that this is a great way to link to the eventual subject of your essay, whatever it may be.
