Hi Steve,

Nice to have met you again and here are my shots. Best in all my so called macros but only 10% of your standard. Really need to do more shoots and many more push ups to keep my hands steady. :)

Very nice and interesting series esp. the good exposure and great details with very diffused flash. Some of the insects on your hand do not show any shadow and it looks like floating ...

Thank you Megaweb.

Yes to take pictures with out shadow is the last step a Macro Photographer wanted to achieves. ;)

Very observant Megaweb on the floating effect, these is what I try to presents in my photo, very happy you are the first one to notice, you made my day. Thanks Megaweb. ;)

I think with diffused shadow would look more realistic and natural. No shadow will make the object looks flat, 2D. Anyway, great experiment :)

Hi Stevewhy gorgeous pics you have here.
It's incredible to see so much details in your photos and conclude that these small insect can be so intriguing.
Many of your pics are really over the simple joy of photography and can be seriously used as interesting references for teaching purposes, etc.

I was thinking to give a try to macro photography and your thread is indeed a strong and nice message to all (even I do not have idea where to start, but this is a different ...)

Indeed you deserve my compliments. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers :)

Ya.. hopefully some education institution around the world will buy my pictures. Hehehe… not bad can make some money to support my hobbies.

Hey! Don’t think any more, just start right away is very fun and sweat a lot, very good way of exercise. ;)

wah seriously dude, you are damn brave.

i think i'll get a bad shock after looking at the preview. some of those bugs looks damn creepy.

but otherwise, technical quality is SUPERB. no horse run. #4 is damn scary. yikes.

Don’t worry about the bugs antitrust, you get used to them when you get to know them. ;)

I am very impressed, just wonder do you use a marco lens or those close up filters? Some look like you use some kind of microscopic len. Care to share?
