singapore has a damm whole bunch of stupid laws, why isn't there a single law to arrest durain for corruption or stealing? why isn't anything being confisicated from him? so what if there is one million pages of report? after this saga, he can still happily proceed to switzerland to retire.

his passport has been confiscated from him. think he'll be sticking around for a while.

In another case, King's passing remark is enough for Thaksin to withdraw ALL legal suits the next day. No questions asked. No ifs and buts.

Reminds me of a similar case years ago in Thailand.

The friction was between General Chavalit and the then PM (can't remember his name, think it's the one before Thaksin).

It was shown on TV that both of them knelt down before the king who stepped in to stop the escalating tension.

do u seriously think that if anyone (no matter how godlike, powerful or influential) were to back durian now and ask singaporeans to forgive him and move on, he will be forgiven his misdeeds? look at how quickly mrs P retracted her peanut comment and support for him!

Dear all,
Not to forget that Strait Times Editor(Her name? I forgot ;p ) for bringing up all NKF's dark secrets & put a stop to it.

Should say that T.T Durai cause for his own downfall, who told him to sye SPH.

He win twice last time, but SPH is too big for him to makan.

The king took both General Chavalit and the then PM into hand so that the commoners will not be unwittingly drag into the fight. General Chavalit controls the army then and it was not just verbal sparring between the both. The clash was to be with brawn and ammo.

The meeting was not to forgive them both.

Think Mrs P regrets that 'peanut' statement to no avail now.... it will go down in history.

are you asking me?

assuming yes, why not 75.5 days of leave entitlement? it is a matter to be negotiated between employer and employee.

MOM stipulates that leave can only be carried forward 1 year. Assuming she did not clear leave for 2yrs and she (Matilda Chua) encashed 151 days work of leave. Does that mean that her annual leave entitlement is 75.5 days!???

I know my blood would boil upon reading that. Even the full 300+ page report frm KPMG. So I did not even bother to check out the link.

I'd stopped supporting them since the original email circulated in 1998. And to my shock (with some recall), the aeromodelling instructor dat was sued by Durai was my former aeromodelling instructor 10yrs ago. I remember him as a pretty nice and paitent chap who had to cope with a guy that can't draw a straight line even with a ruler. :bsmilie:

The press literally ripped him apart instantly the moment he bared his fangs.

When a small vampire tries to suck the blood off a Godzilla, he'll have to see how big is himself to handle stuff like dat.

one does not necessarily need a passport to leave a country.
