OMG! Newton MRT station caught fire!

If SMRT is responsible to overhaul and/or replace the MRT rolling stock then much money needs to be spent.
The new CEO of SMRT emphasised that it is a listed company and in order to be tenable, must seek profits.
Listed companies' shareholders are sophisticated investors who risk potential losses while seeking potential profits.
Much money was generously given to help out the listed bus companies. So not sure if it will be the same with SMRT.

LTA is the one responsible, SMRT only operate the lines. Nice hor? Use taxpayer's hard earned cash to fund corporation with record breaking revenue year after year but profits they keep.

why be unhappy. sell away the L lens or gold ring lens. buy one lot or two lots . lens depreciate.

If you are using lens to make money... it is an asset....

The Acting CEO when handing over said this guy has an engineering background - i.e. Master of Arts in engineering science.

Master of Art in Engineering Science???? Har????

So he is an artist???

I think he is a soldier.

Former Chief of Defence Force. Ironically, transport minister is former Chief of Navy. There are lots of ex-military in GLCs.

Damn! I should have signed on when I have the chance once upon a time when scholarship is still not everything. Now too late :(
