- The 40-150mm f/s.8 PRO is scheduled fot launch in second half of the Fiscal Year 2015 (which means late 2014)
- The 7-14 f/2.8 and 300mm f/4.0 are coming in Fiscal Year 2016 (which means 2015).

There's an error? 7-14mm should be equivalent to 14-28mm.

Got my em1 from daiso. Really like it over my em5, faster auto focus, faster shutter, better iso perf! Really like the grip to which bring me to my gripes...

The d-pad is a little recessed and the buttons not as tactile as I'd like to be.... And man this beast with the 12-40 is weighty but the grip offsets that a little.

Overall loving it and can't wait to bring it out for a spin.

Looking forward to the 7-14mm 2.8.

Also winder what new toys photokina will bring us, hope olympus has an answer to the gm1

why do we need a 300mm F4 lens when there is already 100-300 lens by Panasonic which if at the max aperture is 300mm at 5.6 ? Is there so much difference from F5.6 to F4 ?

thanks

The 100-300 is known to be soft near 300mm wide open and needs to be stopped down whereas the prime should be sharper even wide open.

f4 catches double the light of f5.6. Quite a significant difference im lower light levels

Performance :) The 100-300 is only decently sharp , whereas this 300/4 should be the perfect lens for the birders group at 600mm FL. Moreover it's f4 vs f5.6, a significant difference.

My only mistake was selling my Pana 7-14 too early in anticipation of the Oly 7-14/2.8 lol

I have the Limix 7-14mm and am sitting on the fence with the Oly version. Don't need f/2.8 but I am seeing barrel distortions with the Lumix in the viewfinder. Presumably, Oly's in camera correction does not work on the Lumix. Will see how the Oly 7-14mm do when its out.

Panasonic has apparently dropped the plan to make a 100-300/4. Would be a pity.
