OMD vs EP3

The OM-D is a big step up from the EP-3, especially in terms of dynamic range and high ISO. I think you will take longer to hit the limits of the OM-D, compared to the EP-3. So based on this logic, the OM-D is cheaper in the long run, because you can use it for longer

Till the omd2 is out!
I hate to burst the bubbles... But this is usually how it goes...
I was using EP1. Bought it when it was released. Told myself, this is IT!
Then came EP2, din see the need to change.. EP3 came and I ditched EP1!
Now I'm at the crossroad where I'm thinking of ditching EP3 for OMD.

But truthfully, I dun think I had even reach half of what EP3 can do!
Today jus took my EP3 out for a family outing (it was sitting inside my dry cabinet 90%)
and I am still happy with the IQ it can deliver... Appreciate the built-in Flash.. Probably will miss it if I go for the omd!

So will I still sell my EP3 for OMD?
..... Maybe...

And come next year, will repeat the whole cycle... Sell off omd to get omd2...lol

Sadly, this constant craze of upgrading is not doing any good to my photography skill.. Cos I'm constantly wasting more time learning abt the new cam than enjoying my hobby

Well I have the ep3, and I bought the em5.. Eventually I sold the em5 and kept the ep3..
I like the ep3 more than the em5, for one reason, I enjoy shooting with my ep3.. The em5 just didn't feel right for me..

Without a doubt, the em5 is superior in many ways many forumers have mentioned. But in the end, it still comes down to which one you enjoy more. Because the one that does so, makes you love photography the way you should.. That said, having had a go at both, the em5 is really amazing.

Hi guys. Would like to seek some opinions from users here. Thinking of getting either the OMD or the EP3. Is the OMD really worth ~500 more than the EP3?

Some advantages of the OMD that I can think of:
EVF
Weatherproofing
Higher ISO
1Newer Sensor
IBIS

I am an upgrader from PnS. Have been shooting with my uncle's Oly e-410 but basically still a noob.

s9me other feature is the touch screen thingy which can snap shot. Menu system easier to use. They got quick access system on the em5
U considered trying x pro 1? I just love holding and taking photos with the camera with the gariz leather case. It feels solid. Em5 just feels little too small in size

For your case, wait till after Photokina announcement. There maybe goodies coming.
