Olympus mjuV

Is this camera worthwhile to be the collection? My friend has one to let go at the price $100. Although it does not have big aperture lens but the body is made of metal and all-weather design. Looks very stylish leh...pls let me know what u think.

sure it looks stylo-mylo, but then it's a compact with a zoom. the image quality, especially at the telephoto end would be quite poor.
in the olympus stable of film compacts, there are however some gems... mju II (STYLUS EPIC), LT-1, ECRU and O PRODUCT. if im not mistaken, all are compacts with fixed focal lengths.

I used to own Mju II and indeed the lens is amazing but it is prone to flare. I'm thinking of buying mju V because it has metal body and it was the last compact film camera from Olympus, should have some collection value. But not sure whether $100 is justified or not.
