Olympus Master 2.0 ... Anyone?

am using XP and i have re-install n up the patch too but still kick out once i click a pic for RAW development

Could be conflict with some other installed program.

But Master is buggy as was it previous version.

Now just to share a recent observation.

When you right click a RAW file and select open registered application, whatever software you have registered as your registered application should run and open your RAW file.

My registered application is Photoshop, and it does not run when I right click in the Browse mode. Instead it do a RAW development behind the scene and generate a TIFF file which is then passed to Photoshop. But when I am in Edit mode, ACR will open as expected. I do not know if this is the intended behaviour or is it a bug, but I think it is the former.

i ahve tried the rest of the function no issue except RAW...well maybe i can just use 2.0 for the rest and use back 1.42 version if i need to set ev n WB.

I got a question.

one of the things I liked about oly viewer/studio was the auto lens distortion correction for the RAW developer.

I am using the 14-45 mm kit lens and there is significant distortion at 14mm.

Does new master 2.0 auto corrects this distortion in raw development? There seems to be an auto distortion correction for jpegs but I have to APPLY it TWICE,once for the preview and another time after I hit ok, which is really weird adn slow. Can I cancel the preview and save some time?

I did hear it is buggy, so I will not upgrade at the moment. Even if I miss the free version and I have to pay for it, I want others to debug. Also, I don't really use Master for anything else than firmware upgrade. The Studio is much better and it also adds camera control.

i like the the preview size from oly master 2.0...can see the instant diff before n after the edit..

you could run both version concurrently so no issues installing. i find it useful for raw development.
