I tried the E-420 the other day in a store and, even with the new and enhanced grip, it's way too small for me. For all the talk of its size, it doesn't remind me of my OM-1N at all and that really didn't have a grip. I'm sure people with really small hands will enjoy it, though.

OK...the E420 will be available for sale tomorrow, 17 April 2008, in JAPAN. They are strict about sale dates and prices. No demos are available even. I wonder if the 25mm will start selling at the same time. But looks like ZhuiHuay prices still cannot be beat!

They're in stores in the U.S.A. I held one last week that was available in a national retail store.

Live View seemed okay but they didn't have a pancake lens. It was the typical 2 lens kit. It's just such a small body. The finish looks exceptionally polished, making those other brands look lackluster beside it.

Liveview was better. But I felt that it was still slower in terms of focussing compared to A350.

The E-420 is contrast detection AF for liveview after all. Definitely slower.

Contrast Detection AF is used in P&S. This enables you to focus normally by half-pressing the shutter to focus. This results in you not needing to have the mirror go up, focus, and go down again. But it still won't be faster than how the E-330/A-350 LV works.
