Been a while since I posted pictures; here's some from the Changi Kelong Boardwalk taken last Monday.

All from the 410 - and given the SPix treatment; do feedback on the tone and colour because the processing was done on an uncalibrated monitor. TIA!

drakon09 : Those images from Changi are very nice! I assumed all processed on Silkypix? The colours are all jumping out... very shiok! Nice one bro.

Thanks bro, been attempting to tweak out a workflow on SPix to maximise DR but still maintaining punch.

It is quite surprising how much detail can and are retained in the highlights; the only problem I do face is to correct the magenta colour cast if the highlights are pulled too much. Can be done but helluva tedious.

This means after everything is done, you will still have to make another pass to remove the colour cast?

Have not firmed up a methodology on that yet; sometimes just desaturating the magentas work (since in landscapes there is almost nothing naturally occurring that is magenta!).

In more complicated cases, then would have to ply into the highlights controller, tweak the colour deflection, and then back to the fine colour controller to correct back the colours distorted by the WB colour deflection.

But hell lot easier to do it in SPix than PS!

Sounds like a lot of work but easier in SPix than in PShop. Thanks for sharing this... must go push the app a little harder... heehee....
