shot with wide angle? the nose is so big.

LOL yea shot at 7mm. So irresistably cute with a big nose, although it did smudge the lens a few times...

Regarding the choppers, I would usually process it this way... (samples)

Skies are important and I will try to deepen them whenever possible. This is a quick and dirty job that I have done. Made multiple copies of the image in Photoshop, and use "darken" the layers to deepen the skies, made a mask on the chopper and let the bottom layer come through and process that layer (the chopper) separately. Unsharp mask for the chopper. Tweak to taste.

Thanks for the examples! Really love what you've done with this one. Have been trying to figure out a way to bring out the darkened details of the chopper, caused by the sun's position that morning. Will have to seriously look into using Photoshop (currently using Silkypix for RAW conversion) someday!

No worries. If you are interested I can show the entire workflow to you the next time we get to meet or you can come over to my place and spend an afternoon or something to pick up some of the things that I have learnt over the years. I am more than happy to share.

Hi Oly5050,

I was the one seated beside you. Nice chatting with you. I've enjoyed meeting up the Oly fellas! Hope to do one walkabout shooting session with you guys!
Cheers!

OK....this may not have any individual red, green or blue colours, but, thanks to the last Kopi session, I decided to take out the severely under-utilized 70-300 AND a EC20 for this tonight...on the Ides of March itself.
